If you want a phone just to make calls or send a few text messages, a conventional phone would be good for you. Conventional phones are cheaper that smart phones and they will have the basic features.
Smart phones have a lot of extra features and are more expensive. If you are a person who has to have the latest and greatest, a smart phone would be the best choice. Many smart phones have internet access, MP3 players, cameras, and much more built right in.
