When one of your electronics or appliances breaks and you do not have enough money to get a new one, you can buy a refurbished one instead. You can get refurbished products online or in a store. When you buy a refurbished product from the manufacturer, it is like you are buying it new, but with a discount. Manufacturers will sell refurbished items when they have an overstock or items that have been returned.

Discount prices on refurbished products can be very low, sometimes even 80 percent below retail price. While you can get great deals on refurbished items, there are a few items you may not want to buy refurnished. Mattresses and baby furniture are a few things you may want to consider buying new. When you buy them refurbished, they may look fine on the outside, but there may be some hidden dangers under the surface.
