The Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council (ODDC) awarded a grant to Bellefaire to disseminate the Service Guidelines for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder/Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Birth through Twenty-One which were developed by the Ohio Autism Taskforce. This information is available as a PDF here and through the Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council (click on Ohio ASD/PDD Guidelines). Individuals may request a hard copy through the mail (allow up to eight weeks for delivery) by emailing Bellefaire.
The Autism Information Center focuses on the activities of federal and federally-funded programs and the resources offered by these programs and includes information about autism spectrum disorders (ASDs); the CDC and other federal activities; state activities funded by the CDC; education, services, and research resources; and activities to help children use the Internet to learn more about ASDs. Housed and maintained by the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD).

RAI Projects The 2002-2003/2003-2004 Autism Regional Initiatives (RAI) are funded through ORCLISH and the Ohio Department of Education, Office for Exceptional Children to each SERRC to encourage regional efforts, which benefit students with autism spectrum disorders. The purpose of the project is to offer new opportunities for students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) to participate fully in their learning environments.

The site provides details about the screening and referral process and answers many of the concerns expressed by parents who have children with autism.
TEACCH approach includes a focus on the person with autism and the development of a program around this person's skills, interests, and needs.
